The Referees or The Twelfth Man (Part 1)

If anyone can cite a refereeing mistake that City have been on the wrong side of in the last 15 years please shout. One that has been costly.

I really don’t want another lenghty pointless discussion on this, as my views are clear for many years.
I’m not rehashing old comments or arguments in a vain attrmpt to make you or anyone else agree with me. It would lead to rancour and I am not going there.

I have suggested you look back at the posts @jaffod has on the topic, his documentation is much better than I could possibly do. Or alternatively look at the evidence, agree or disagree as presented by Paul Tompkins. And yes, his views though biased, are compelling.

Other clubs don’t interest me. Arsenal supporters whining about refs is a nonsense, considering the latitude shown to them on set pieces for example. And how either sets of Manc fans could complain is beyond me.

I’m more interested in Liverpool, and in what happens when certain officials are on our matches.

Chris Kavanagh last Sunday was special, wasn’t he? Look at that, cold light of day, in a balanced manner and tell me I’m wrong?

With all due respects, I’ve done all this before, I don’t need to do it again.

He had a Porsche though! He loved to tell us sbout that! He reported me for saying I knew where he lived, as it was ā€œa veiled threatā€ā€¦it was Epsom though!

That’s okay. I can imagine many repetitive arguments/discussions. I think in a lot of issues , the issue remains because people who have evidence or belief of wrong doing, they dpn’t get together and discuss. Like a bigamist relies heavily on two wives never meeting. In football, corruption could well rely upon tribalism.

Have a good day, pal

What do you think of the appointment of Brooks as ref for the Brentford game? He was banned from reffing Liverpool for a year after his controversial decisions. I don’t know why they keep doing this after the problem free match in Europe why aren’t we allowed to enjoy a game without getting shafted?

Its a weird decision, especially aftwr the shafting by Kavanagh.

The powers that be…have their own itinerary…we’ve been penalised to 10 men…for fouls that weren’t…surely they must see the reffies are biased…

Amazing stuff, and example of how little value the KMI Panel has

Possible Dogso in the brighton game that the ref rejects. VAR recommends an overturn and after going to the screen the ref agrees and gives the red. The league over turn the suspension saying it shouldnt have been a red card, and now the KMI panel report agreement with the VAR.

Anywhere else on the pitch, Isaak getting his shirt pulled results in a foul.
They’re not even trying to hide their dodgy decisions now.

Madley and Atwell is pretty much the nightmare combination for us. There was not a chance we were getting anything today with those two.

The Cheaters moaning yesterday they should have had two blatant penalty calls in their game and that the referee screwed them over, then this today… makes you wonder whether the PL are determined Arteta and his bunch of Yahoo’s, would be a better winning candidate for the PL this season, rather than give the Cheaters a chance to embarrass them further by finishing 1st.

City’s claims are baseless. One of them came from an attempted clearance from another defender, and there an explicit instruction for refs to not penalize those situations. The other was from the ball deflecting on to Dunk’s arm after blocking a cross legally with his torso. That isnt as explicitly excluded from being a handball, but it there is massive mitigation given for it.

In contrast, we got fucking robbed.

Has anybody from the club come out and highlighted yet another incident of us being fucked over?
Has anybody from the club asked why the VAR didn’t pick up on it and ask the ā€˜referee’ to review it?

If the answer to these 2 questions is ā€˜no’ it’s because the club is fucking spineless from top to bottom and we will continue to be cheated by these fucking corrupt cunts.

Iraola said that there is little left but for our players to dive to demand fouls because that is what the refs and VAR and now requiring from us.

Virgil when asked when if players have more of a responsibility to appeal or go down pointed out there are 50 cameras. He then also pointed out that the fact he is being asked about the controversy is proof that the cameras caught it and shouldn’t have needed a player to dive to draw attention to it
