I happened to have a door-to-door solicitation from Amnesty International this evening. It is frankly unfair of that organization to send out 20 year-olds to ask for donations having prepared them so poorly to deal with an own goal like their blowjob endorsement of Putin’s messaging.

Agreed. The argument I always hear from my security contacts (govt and academic) is that its important to be on the ground to gather info and if we kick out Russian diplomats they will retaliate; but I’m not sure that we need every western embassy to stay in Moscow to ensure ‘info gathering’. In fact I’d suggest that several foreign services (esp DFAT) garner fuck all from their Moscow bureau.
