And a general update in the whole situation, good thread.
Interesting that the attack on the bridge is actually a success: this stops Russia sending ammo by truck, and they can’t afford to send huge amount by train because unloading it makes it an easy target for Ukraine.
Until September at minimum only cars will pass.

Is there any military purpose to this or is it more tit-for-tat?
I would think it is for psychological reasons. It says to the average Russian “Look, even Moscow isn’t safe if you continue your invasion of our country”

That’s very pertinent. Russia went into this with a WWI attitude, show them we are in a more advanced era some will start having second thoughs rather than dancing in the streets like the Parisiens did!
So Russia decided not to speak at all about the drone attack, nothing to see, carry on!
