Situation in the Wilne - Szachowe (Dobropole) region, part VII.
Today, the Ukrainian side reported the capture of Kuczerow Jar and released a video showing soldiers of the 132nd separate reconnaissance battalion raising a flag in the ruins of the village, as well as taking approximately 4-6 prisoners from an unknown Russian unit. Sentinel analysis from 19.10.2025 indicates that the assault on the village was conducted from the direction of Wesełe village, along one of the forested strips stretching from the fortifications of the New Donbas Line to the northeastern edge of Kuczeriw Jar (48.52139, 37.2864). Between 4.10 and 19.10, the area was almost completely burned out as a result of fighting, and Russian forces dropped 4-5 FABs in its vicinity. It is worth noting that the Ukrainians attacked Kuczeriw Jar along this forested strip already in September, but they were apparently repelled at that time.
In the Wilne - Nowe Szachowe region, positional fighting continues. Based on Sentinel data, I believe these clashes are not particularly intense. Compared to my last post from 25.09, the only significant change occurred in the Nowe Szachowe area, where the 1st battalion of the 92nd Assault Brigade recaptured the ruins of this village from Russian forces once again. The status of the single-family housing estate north of Nowe Szachowe (48.4677, 37.259) remains unclear. I previously marked it as Ukrainian-controlled, but DS claims it is a gray zone. All other changes in favor of the Ukrainians, recently marked on the map by DS, indeed took place between 16.08 and 14.09, as I wrote in that post. https://x.com/Thorkill65/status/1967934698325262705 Since then, as Sentinel indicates, little has happened there.
One administrative note - on the map, I traditionally marked the presence of the Russian 110th and 132nd Motorized Rifle Brigades. However, I believe they have not been there for some time. Currently, either elements of the 20th Motorized Rifle Division or one of the marine infantry brigades transferred from the Sumy region are likely fighting there. However, I have no evidence to confirm this, so I left it as it was. As for the Ukrainian side, around mid-September, a rotation took place in the area, and the elements of the 12th National Guard Brigade “Azov,” the 14th National Guard Brigade “Red Kalina,” and the 25th assault battalion, which were attacking in the Wilne area, were replaced by the 92nd Assault Brigade, supported by the 173rd separate territorial defense battalion.
