So last night, this happened
Interesting location, I wonder as to the status of Solodke
Lyman direction where the first Russian mechanised offensive in this spring took place days ago. Since then, Russian infantry that expanded the grey zone is being targeted and hunted.
Never mind the language, it is not mine, but obviously Ukrainians celebrate every single Russian soldier dying, as that is kind of the goal with attritional warfare.
Cannot post more as usual due to thread inactivity
That hit in the Baltic… very impressive. It will hopefully hurt the Russian’s oil export capacity.
A super post on the Lyman attack a few days ago
Situation in the Szandryhołowe area (Lyman). Offensive by elements of the Russian 1st Armored Army against the positions of the 3rd Corps.
On March 19, 2026, on a front section that had been nearly inactive for 4 months in the Szandryhołowe area west of Lyman, within the zone of responsibility of the Ukrainian 3rd Corps, units of the Russian 1st Armored Army, supported by elements of the 20th Army, launched a large-scale attack using combat vehicles and quad bikes. According to the plan, the main thrust—likely by forces of the 1st Motorized Rifle Regiment from the 2nd Division—was intended to be directed toward the village of Koroviy Yar, defended by the 2nd mechanized battalion of the 66th Brigade. At the same time, a second, smaller Russian mechanized column—likely belonging to the 4th Armored Division—was to conduct feint offensive actions toward Deryłowe. As part of preparations for the offensive operation, Russian forces erected another pontoon bridge on the held western bank of the Nitrus River in the Szandryhołowe - Serednie area, a small bridgehead. The clear objective of the Russian offensive action was to expand this bridgehead to include the Koroviy Yar area.
According to information relayed by the 3rd Corps command, it had intelligence reports on the planned Russian offensive action. As part of preparations to repel it, on the night of March 18-19, the road from Nowe - Zelena Dolyna - Szandryhołowe was scatter-mined using Vampire drones. As a result, on the morning of the following day, in the first phase of the Russian offensive action, at least 4 IFVs and 5 quad bikes were halted by the mines placed there, and then finished off by 66th Brigade FPV drones and Ukrainian artillery. Two more Russian BMP-3s were destroyed by Ukrainian FPV drones west of Serednie, already after crossing the pontoon bridge over the Nitrus River. It is unknown what happened to the rest of the Russian vehicles, which, according to Ukrainian information, were attacking their positions. The 3rd Corps command, in a statement issued after the battle, wrote that the Russian assault had been completely halted before reaching the Ukrainian defensive lines. This may be true, but there have already been situations where, after such supposedly repelled Russian mechanized attacks, geolocated footage emerged a few days later showing their presence in the attacked areas. If no video emerges in the near future of Russian soldiers in Koroviy Yar, then the outcome of this attack will be 100 percent clear.
This mobile radar is rather expensive, I note.
Russian mil-bloggers must walk a narrow path due to Ru wartime laws, so I rather enjoy the sarcasm in that post.
Morning view ![]()
The less nice morning view is the result of last night’s Russian bombardment of various cities and residential blocks.
Culture news
What a despicable regime!
On the Black Widows (who are a seriously large population segment in Russia, this isn’t just a few thousand)
Judging from the map (which shows the location bombed as UA control), Koskyantynivka is almost lost to the hordes)
