By the way, it is Equipment Failure, so Ukraine is certainly not to blame politically for this. Seems odd that one of the worlds biggest plants that produce 35% of a certain product globally, just completely annihilates itself due to equipment failure, but I suppose that is possible too.

I just looked it up to see what it is used for.

Natural rubber and synthetic polyisoprene are used primarily for tires. Other applications include latex products, footwear, belting, hoses, and condoms.

I’m assuming that the tyre production could be the biggest hit globally. I’m not sure what the natural to synthetic split is.
