He even thinks the entire Russian federation could break apart. The moment the central control in Moscow loses its iron grip, local regions will likely jump at the chance for independence. It’s like a massive row of dominoes just waiting for the final push. 
Kasparov definitely knows a thing or two about predicting the next move, but it looks like Putin might be heading straight into a checkmate.
