I see romantic videos of this idiot going around the web the last two days. I just want to note that some of us remember that he was kidnapped and tortured for a very long time by the Russian army, and they sodomised him eventually to death, after having grilled him with electrodes for days and days. Then they beheaded him and did stuff to his head. Afterwards, they placed various body parts in a car and blew it up with explosives when his Russian wife was nagging too much about where he was.

my understanding of Crimea is that Russia moved Russians in there to live,
if the Russians in there are facing hardship due to Ukraine and moving back to Russia, is this a propaganda coup for Russia?

I’m mostly sharing information here, so don’t put too much stock in my views.
I think everything is already spinned and it won’t move too much the needle for brainwashed people.
On the other hand, it will be immensely embarassing, because it will show Putin losing control.
Frontline moving a bit up and down is acceptable and easily explained as strategic focus or temporary.
Exiting Crimea on the other hand will be a slap in the face, since it’s presented as being unambiguously Russia for a very long time.
Details in the Russian volunteer corps, fighting on the Ukrainian side, with its composition, assasination plot, missions, etc.

Which might be hard to control, if there are any sizable percentage of the 800k Russians deciding to go back to Russia.
It will be hard for people who are from Crimea though, but this has already been preemptively addressed by Ukraine in terms of messaging.
That being said, I’m not sure how serious the situation is for people living there yet, but it can only be worsening.
