Zelensky is saying Ukraine has the capacity to produce them and even export them to whoever needs them, if US would give them a license to do it, which they haven’t so far.
That’s more easily said than done, though. There are a lot of considerations that have to be accounted for in such deals even in normal circumstances, let alone now with the urgency of an ongoing war.
But besides that, it is of course obvious that Trump has no wish to help, if not the opposite. He’s drawn to cruel, autocratic figures/dictators like Putin and Erdogan; not someone like Zelenskyy.
He also doesn’t want to be seen with someone that he regards as a “loser”. Like most bullies, he is quite happy to stick the boot in when someone is down, but he doesn’t want to be seen with someone taking a kicking.
Yeah, it’s obviously much easier said than done, which is why I simply quoted Zelinsky.
I have no idea about the practical and political hurdles, outside even the Russia loving Trump.
I guess that with Biden, it would have been justified by the “no escalation” policy.
Hmm, this is getting really interesting. I mean crazy !

Impressive.
That’s up there with the worst losses of Atlantic convoys during WW2. Can’t help but think that the environmental hit is horrendous.
Oh, we are way past that point. War is always so fucking stupid.
