The Sebastian Hoeneß appreciation Thread

I had to start an appreciation thread on him. I know it is a huge long shot he might or might not end up bring Liverpool’s manager in the future. It would be nice to keep a track of his progress.

@Wilkored08 ,

Have a look at this, he is so Klopp-esque in this video

Do you think the attraction of Hoeneß is the diacritic in his name that causes @Mascot problems? Although I am sure he coped OK with the umlaut in Jürgen Klopp’s name?

Maybe we should embrace it and go for a manager who is a bugger to type out. Could our perfect manager be Slavia Prague’s Jindřich Trpišovský?

Oh no! :see_no_evil_monkey:

Now, i have to google this guy @RedWhippet. :upside_down_face:

I am all for embracing difficult names. It is good to have a challenge sometime. Mind you, I always have to check the spelling of our Dominic’s surname.

Don’t know much about him…but he looks ideal…young, enthusiasm for his team, his supporters and football…

Isn’t he lovely

He is so dynamic, talented, dresses stylishly, speaks eloquently, and is a good tactician.

I haven’t checked his teeth yet :joy:

If we don’t watch it…we’re going to be the Spursy of the 26/27 season…loss out on manager…loss out on players…key players leave and no replacements…all because we have 2 in charge that just dilly dally for the fun of it…and a manager who is going to turn us into the PSG of England…yeh matey in your dreams…so we had better pull our finger out…sharpish…

Can Jurgen check him out…see if he’s suitable…don’t leave it to the 2 suit boys upstairs…time wasters…but glad to take the monthly pay…

He does tick a fair few boxes and might finally get me to learn how to create that double S, B thing for my German lessons

Just have his name saved in a text file on your PC or phone. Whenever you have the urge to talk about him, then copy and paste. Simple!

Or if you are lazy, just type in Hoeness, but not Holiness.

I remeber his dad Uli playing for Germany…

Uli is his uncle.

But his father Dieter also played for Germany.

Using ss for ß is totally fine btw, that’s done all the time, even people who have the misfortune of carrying that letter in their name will be totally used to that, whether it’s for computer/internet use or just going international.
That letter is more of a left over tradition, debatable if it’s actually that needed (I think the Swiss got rid of it).

Tell Duolingo that

Oops…it was his Uncle then…that I knew played for Germany…not sure if he was in the same team as Gerd Muller…

Yep, Uli was in the famous Germany/Bayern teams with Gerd Müller that won pretty much everything. He then went on to become the most successfull twat in German football.
Dieter was slightly less talented both on the pitch and as twat behind desks.
