Unspursy Spurs will be having a open bus parade on Friday afternoon in North London.
The Arse should have one as well, being the best team in Europe and most importantly having won the London mini Premier League.
Otoh they shouldn’t as in case their buses cross each other, Ange will show Arsetita that his is bigger.
Just hope they take the parade down the Emirates stadium.
Really remarkable that Ange has won a trophy with Spurs in his second season after declaring he would. I thought he was bonkers, but fair play.
Now, will Spurs defy their dopamine high and bin him for their horrific league season (which they could pin a large portion on injuries, although the tactical approach was terrible), or will they give him the summer to strengthen and build?
Richarlson has a winners medal
Well done.
Although I must say that I watched a few minutes after the break, almost fell asleep and then decided that I wouldn’t lose my evening in front of that tripe.
All in all, not a great deal, but it will mean a lot to the Spurs fans, and Ange seems to be a decent enough guy, so well done to him as well.
As for the mancs… see, @Nikola?
They’ve secured Champions League football, which will help attract new players. And their injury situation is unlikely to be as bad again next season.
I’d say Ange gets another year.
The difference between the winner and the loser is he’s willing to change his tactics, abandoning his Ange ball when it doesn’t work.
Amorim otoh stubbornly clung on to his failed system.
And Sir Alex sat and watched next to Radcliffe. Beautiful.
The knock on Ange for most of the season has been that he hasn’t been willing to do that. I think it’s really only in the latter stages of this tournament that he’s done it.
The other difference is that at least Angeball is identifiable. No one actually knows what Amorimball is. Everyone just keeps telling me this isnt it because he doesnt have the players who are suited to it. But no one seems sure what the football is they are supposed to be suited to and who those players are.
Spurs idea was to score, for most of the first half though their chances were scrappy they tried. Once they got it they set up to win it 1-0 as people have said this isn’t his usual style but he adapted to win the trophy I also do have a bit of sympathy on the injury front for them. It’s been worse than some of those who shout all the time about it (looks across North London).
He deserves another season I feel. If he is willing to adapt and as said he has a game plan even if flawed. Amorim is supposed to but no one knows what it is.
I do. Stick 11 players on the pitch with no clear instruction or pattern of play and lose.
Angeball in its totality. In fairness, I’m not sure it’s a novel tactic and one that Amorim could perhaps have expected.
It wouldn’t surprise me if Ange knows he is leaving after Sunday, hence them having the parade before then so he can attend.
It seems an odd day to do it when you have a bank holiday coming up.
It’s not like they need to avoid clashing with us.
I’m pleased for Ange. He has taken dogs abuse all season. The football has been bit naive, but the injuries have been horrific. And he only went and won them a trophy in his second season, as he said he would. Brilliant stuff.
He showed a willingness to hunker down and make sure they won the final. The spectacle was awful, but he won’t care. The naïveté was curtailed, and instead they packed the defence and got their goal, and Man Utd couldn’t break them down.
I hope relations haven’t soured to the point of no return, and that he is backed in the summer with some money to shape the squad. With 2-3 new players and better luck with injuries, they should be much better next season.
Obviously if he is backed and they continue to struggle, he will be let go around Christmas.
But with a decent trophy in the bag I hope he has earned the right to carry on.
Correct, but you forgot to mention that they have to be in a 3 5 2 formation xxxx
If he is not sacked, it will be difficult for him to last another year or more.
Perhaps it will be in the better for him if he’s let go.
That would give him a great chance to snap up another trophy at a new club if his winning something in his second season streak continues to hold.
Sometimes good will come after bad.
Hopefully he doesn’t go to Everton, their lack of trophies is amusing.
