Trophy or no trophy, Spurs have been fucking dirt under Ange… apart from when they beat us in October to win the league of course.
Seems a decent manager, just wasn’t the right fit.
Just curious. Do Spurs even have any trophy winning related bonus clause in the players’ contracts?
Yeah, even last season for as much praise as they got there were pretty clear signs things werent as rosy as seemed. They started the season on fire, with 23 of their first 27 points available, but for the remaining 3/4 of the season they were a solidly midtable side. So this malaise has really been going on there since October or so of 2023 even without injuries to excuse it.
First 9 games: 23 points
Second 9: 13 points
Third 9: 14 points
Final 9: 16 points
Does their new stadium have a trophy cabinet?
Objectivelly you can at least understand the decision, but strategically and long term speaking, still loads of questions upstairs at Spurs…
Problem really isn’t with Ange.
It’s to do with Levy.
He’s been very well supported. They brought in 7 legit first team players last year, including one additional CB int he winter window when Ange said he needed more. Then last summer they spent big on the striker he said he needed and supplemented that with 3 more younger players who have all contributed significantly this year.
Are we still looking for a #2?
It’s more of a trophy nook.
Just heard on the news, ta ra “Big Ange”
Massively over rated as a manager, by himself.
Would like to see him get another job in the PL one day.
As long as it isn’t at Anfield.
Idiots.
I hope that Frank won’t be daft enough to get into that shithole.
There’s talk that it could be Marco Silva.
But I’d also think twice.
He seems to have not fallen foul of his usual 18 month downfall at Fulham. That would return at Spurs.
Don’t know about the players but for Ange it’s £2m.
I mean he won a trophy, which is clearly against the Spursy philosophy.
One minute it’s Anges fault then it’s not….
The results in the PL were of course ultimately dire. The attacking style though was quite attractive - complete opposite to the 2 big name predecessors Jose and Conte. But it’s a results game.
The irony is that the EL final was godawful yet they jagged the Cup.
