The Spursy Thread

Is that inbetween them watching Doctor Who and moaning that Anfield was in it.

Because no doubt the person who won’t watch it again, will.

They getting ripe for another foreign (atrocious people/regime) take-over.

We must be getting toward saturation point here when it comes to money no object clubs. We’ve got three, four if you count Utd, and that means it’s harder for any new one to come in and establish a hegemony.

I think the next one is in Spain. That’s absolutely ripe for picking off. Barca are fucked, Real are wobbly and Atlético are not really that good.

I don’t think so, the increased loss is explained by having to play behind closed doors last season. That will not be the case this season. More seating capacity and its income from non footballing activities will probably be increasing too (they hold american football games, concerts and other corporate event stuff.)

At least £250m of that is a 30 year interest only loan at about 2.8% interest, so ‘only’ costing them £7m a year. I imagine much of the other debt it on similar terms.

I wonder how much they get for NFL?

I don’t know, but they get a fee from the NFL for hosting games and get to keep the profits from catering and club shop sales. Gate receipts go to the NFL clubs.

I’ve read that a normal matchday the club make about £800k profit from catering, and that for NFL games they put the prices up , so I would guess it would be somewhere in the region of £1m per NFL match?

Very lucrative, yeah I know the food prices were a bit crazy for those two MLB matches in London at the Olympic stadium though to be fair they did let you take food in, which I did on the Sunday.

I do wonder if they still don’t stop at Tottenham Hale on a Sunday, be a bit silly but that was only about 5-6 years ago they didn’t even on match days

Muriel or Mura or something like that beat them.

They now have to beat Rennes … that fight back to 3-2 by Vitesse might actually be vital.

Spursy.

I thought the funniest thing I would see today would be the new South Park special, but I forgot Spurs existed.

Hilarious!

“I did not like what happened tonight,” said Conte. “I must be honest and tell you that after three-and-a-half weeks, I am starting to understand the situation.”

Yeah, bro, welcome to Spursyside.

To be fair, it is a real group of death, Spurs, Rennes, Vitesse, Mura

Staggering to think they were in a CL final not so long ago.

Wow. That’s one of the most cowardly and self-serving statements I’ve ever heard from a manager. A new low for him.
