Tottenham lose to Royal Antwerp. If you’ve never heard of them before, they’re a small club from London.

The Norwegian media claims that Royal Antwerp were the far better team in that game. I didn’t watch the game, but noticed even Mourinho said that the best team won and that the worst team lost.
Just proves that even in the Europa League, you can’t go into the game with a mentality that a bit of effort will do if your a stronger team. In Europe, teams from weaker leagues can and sometimes indeed wins, against on paper stronger opposition. If one team plays at a high level (for them), and the stronger team plays at a low level (for them), the “weaker team” often wins. Of course, weaker teams tends to have less lethal forwards, forwards that often needs 3-4 chances to score, but not always of course.

So yes, I do think this may be due to arrogance and Antwerp playing a very good game.

JM mentioned after the game that the performance of last nights team made it easier for him to decide who starts in future matches. I wouldn’t want to play for him after those comments. JM always throwing his players under a bus. No way can he bring success to Spurs.

I think the same. He may, perhaps, get a league cup (or is it daddy’s pizza-something these days ? ) or maybe the FA cup, but he will destroy the team doing so imo.

Edit: Never mind, that wasn’t the league cup with that pizza stuff, but the lower league. In any case, I almost choked on my coffee when I read that, lol.

I suspect Mourinho is deliberately trying to get out of all cups to concentrate on top four finish.

Fixed for accuracy

Not really on this Occassion

Play shit, get dropped.

Simple football 101 really.

Better than waffling on about showing character or some such malarkey.

Does Paddy Power support Liverpool? I always get the impression from tweets posted in here that they do but maybe the tweets flaming us don’t make it onto these boards?!

Just a hunch but i wouldn’t be suprised if they are backing the favourites (us atm) knowing or hoping LFC fans will favour them over other bookies because of their tweets about us,if any of the other top 6 teams were playing and winning like us,they’d probably be getting the same treatment, just so punters spend money with them.

Kane on 10 assists so far this season.

It’s very strange he’s only claiming the assists and not the goals they led to.

Kane has legally changed his name to Own Goal, he has now surpassed Alan Shearer as the premier leagues top scorer.

From today’s BBC gossip column:

Tottenham and England striker Harry Kane, 27, knows Spurs have a good chance of winning a wide-open title race this season. (Sunday Mirror)

The only thing he should know is that Spurs will inevitably fuck it up.

I reckon they have a good chance. I looked at their team against West Brom, it looked better than any team of theirs at any point since 2016/17, in my opinion, or even 2011/12, and they are getting results. They don’t have any injuries, unlike Liverpool and Man City, and it’s a crazily congested season anyway. Who knows what might happen.

We’ll see. They’ve had few injuries and an easy run of fixtures compared to us and Leicester. I don’t rate their squad depth too highly, it will only take a few of the wrong players to get injured for it to all go up in smoke.

Time to change the thread title? It seems to motivate them…
