I play with a guy like that! Definitely right-footed, shoots left by preference. If he is trying to hit a long ball with control, always with the right.
I suspect that is quite common. I was always far more accurate passing and controlling with my left foot but if I wanted absolute power I would use my right. (In fairness it was often said that I played with two left feet.)
I’m the exact opposite, I’m right footed and what little talent I have for control is all in my right. But I can kick it harder with my left. What people say of me is I should stay in goals.
