The thread for those Vile Cheats Manchester City. Who cheated

Why not go and have a look at what happened to Rangers?

In terms of what their punishment was and where they ended up. And also in terms of what that team and the size of their support relative to the size of the league they were in and then compare it to the relative size of City and their supporters relevant to the current PL.

Pound for pound City getting expelled from the PL wouldn’t have anywhere close to the same impact that Rangers getting kicked out of the SPL. They were stil kicked out.

Secondly if I’m ever found guilty in court of something I’m hoping everyone has your attitude and ignores that the investigation has been completed and forget that I was found guilty - all because I might decide to appeal.

Surely you can argue the case for your innocence in court but that isn’t the same thing as refusing to comply during discovery?

You can definitely get punished for that.

Shampions

Makes for a nice queen song mockery as well.

You are the Shampions , you tents.

Worked in Abu Dhabi in 2013, disgusting nation, riddled with hypocrisy.

They need ex pats and the expertise they provide so they embrace them and pay them handsomely.

They also need manual labourers, hotel staff, shop assistants, cleaners etc.
Nationals don’t perform those kind of “below us” occupations.
They basically practice modern day slavery and view them as an essential irritant.

I maybe wrong but their failure to co-operate and admitting guilt are different. I guess there is something written into the Laws of The Premier League that states a member should comply with requests for information. By failing to provide this makes them open to the charge.
If the information they failed to supply supported their case then it would of surely been used as supporting evidence in their case, however, I believe they would of then had to provide this to the prosecution in advance.
They may well of provided this information at some point and the Charges would still stand, however, they would have more than likely been removed from the Charge sheet.

Someone with more knowledge in this area will hopefully confirm or correct my post.

My mate worked over there in the big boom of the early 2000’s. There was common phrase “another Bengali” which referred to the death of a construction worker.

Does anyone know if the false commercial deals take into account the Clubs increased commercial value off the back of it.

What I mean by this, is that their Commercial Value has benefitted off the back of their success. So they have gained a larger fan base because of their success, sold more shirts. Gained extra revenues from TV deals because of their participation in the CL. Their participation in the CL gives them a number of extra Match days which they can profit off.
I mean even in shame you have people saying it would be a shame to lose a big team with top players. Surely, they are considered a big team with top players largely because they cheated.
Without the sham deals they would be just another club.

For me, you strip them of their Titles and expel them from the EPL. Let them reapply to the league and start from the bottom. I wouldn’t even fine them because I believe that would fold the club.
Let’s see whether the Owners want to stick around, the players want to stay, the fans still turn up and if kids continue to buy their shirts.

Huh?

My personal view is that it would impact in the short term but not catastrophically and should in no way be a consideration when determining the punishment.

But there’s these little bits leaking out that perhaps suggest the PL or the clubs might have a greater concern.

I don’t really know how the punishment element even works. Think I read it’s the independent commission who determine it or at least make a recommendation but I’m assuming the PL have some kind of say over what happens.

Any idea IF the blood that some are wanting, will affect Forest, Spurs, Everton and Monaco? oh and Chelsea? If the contracts for sponsorship are upheld as sham, City are banished from earth, Will those clubs , english ones, fall foul of the financial rules? City surely owe them for transfers?

Different offences, I think. Possibly a bit like getting a speeding ticket, and failing to identify the driver.

Yeah what is a cheaty apologist doing here? Really should fuck right off.

I know what happened to Rangers. I couldn’t recall the finer details of the reshaping of scottish footballs league system. So i asked the person i was conversing with, due to the fact i didn’t believe it was going to change my day or my life, I was willing to wait for answer.

This is also not a criminal court. If you were found guilty of something in a criminal court, I would still want to know as much information as i could get, because being found guilty of something doesn’t mean you are guilty, I personally reserve judgment when a person still protests their innocence and is appealing. It is my right to do so.

Just checked, 1.71% of 35,000 cases applied for since 1997 have resulted in quashed convictions.
On that basis, using that statistic, it’s 98.29% likely that City are guilty.
If you want to keep an open mind and give them benefit of doubt, then knock yourself out.
But to most normal people, they’re guilty and need to be severely punished

What if the person commits those offences in plain view. And is found guilty of 114 charges. And fails to recognise the court who are trying him? And has repeated offences after the period those charges were investigated?

What level of bloodied hands or smoking gun do you require? Hand in the wound for Doubting Thomas?

I’m all for fairness, due process and the right of appeal. But if their appeal works, its not borne from innocence. Its borne of interferance, corruption and power. And if you accept that, then I cannot understand you.

They’ll try any means possible to avoid punishment, not prove their innocence.
Like the CAS overturning their CL ban.
They didn’t prove their innocence, or disprove their guilt, they escaped punishment on a fucking technicality.

Ffs they were doing it in plain sight for the past decade. You’d have to have your head buried far down some hole to reserve judgement
