The thread for those Vile Cheats Manchester City. Who cheated

That’s a very good point. Purely from a money point of view, they aren’t investing here out of the goodness of their hearts. They’ve been given good deals that we’ll continue to be lucrative to them, and that is important, but it depends how they take the loss of face.

It seems highly likely to me that wage payments to players have been hidden just as payments to Mancini were hidden.

At the end of the day this a football matter, simple as that, or should be..
As fans, we can rightly expect the punishment not to be tainted by outside influence… Anything other than this needs an uprising.
If it was up to me to cast a vote, there are a couple of points…
a) All hierarchy of the club that have been involved in wrongdoing that has put the game itself at risk… needs removing from ever being involved with another PL club, ever.
Mothball the club and remove it from any/all competition in the UK for as long as it takes until they have gone… What they do with the club is up to them, they own it - Maybe let them join another league either in Europe or ‘Sand Dune’ land.
b) Any legal litigation involving the courts should be frowned upon by every decent fan out there. The owners knew the rules when they bought the club, to go and break them when it suited, so why should they even think they have a right to argue their point in court…
Just fuck them off and make them re-apply with new owners to become involved again in the football of this country…
How long all that takes, who cares…

No need for all that it was that you were down from 700 to 600 LOL

I work in mysterious ways; and sometimes by posting walls of text :upside_down_face:

Why not? Sure it’s sad for those rusted on fans of 30+ years but then so is being stuck supporting a cheating scum of a side. Killing the club releases them from what they were clearly unable to wriggle free themselves.

Yet another lawyer breaks down on what is going to happen from now. He claims that the sanction hearings will come before the Appeal hearing. Did he get the order wrong???

No way these are genuine quotes from Ratcliffe, but definitely the type of comments that need saying by someone high profile.

It looks like fake news…

No, I don’t think so as the appeal is separate from the original hearing, which the sanctions stem from. I don’t believe those can be enforced until after the appeal is heard, though - although I stand to be corrected on that.

Because there’s nothing to be celebrated in watching any football club go to the wall.

They existed for well over 100 years before these owners turned up and did what they did. I can’t square away it being right to kill that off when there are other ways to punish the club and the owners without destroying the club entirely.

I also don’t want them to be released from what they were. I want the stain of this to follow them for the next 100 years, not swept under the carpet as “oh this is a new club and that was nothing to do with us”.

:0) - yes but then, wouldn’t your avatar say Red Mexican… :person_shrugging:

Hundreds of thousands of Liverpool and other clubs fans might disagree with this statement.

I certainly do.
Owners, management, players & supporters all knew this was going on, and are all doubling down on it.

Fuck em all, hope they fold.

I believe the independent commission can actually enforce sanctions before any appeal, since there is already a verdict and any appeal by City is voluntary.

I’d be surprised if a sanction is agreed and delivered before the 12 week appeal window closes though.

Hoping they clear their name for the good of the game and society. If they can’t then they need to be punished. I believe that it is a shitshow either way. A guilty verdict across the board bu then that gets altered in some way? that would be a bigger shitshow. That is why wish we could have not seen a guilty verdict in public tll the whole process was over. It’d be a proper mind f*ck for everyone. I have tried to talk about the wider affect but i have struggled to find the right words. It’s left me rather frustrated so i went away from the forum for a day or so. It is hard work, i know what i want to say but then i forget , so i substitute things and press to post.. then i spend ages replying to things about meanings i didn’t mean to use! if you get me.

The main gripe that i have is the media trying to incite some kind of violence at the game against them. Let them bait? (not sure if right word) their own clubs supporters in that sense. If they cared more about the game and the fans and less about making money, i’d be a happier person.

I think there are some that are spoiling for it. Given how easy it appears to be to arrange a lynch mob in the UK these days, I’m concerned about who turns up.

It is why i said in my first post, i think it was, about the ‘its liverppol fans again’ narrative. We’ll be the ones tarnished if something happens that has nothing to do with us as a supporter base. I feel the FSA and Spirit of Shankly should perhaps says something publicly about it but then that might attract more attention and idiots towards the thought of doing it?
