The thread for those Vile Cheats Manchester City. Who cheated

Emotional Investment. I watched the overlap last night when i couldn’t sleep. A scum fan on there was saying about “oh i’d do this this and this, if it was my club” .. The truth is the majority of people would stand by their club. One wants to believe. People on the other side are emotionally invested because they have, in this situation, been adamant for years, they want to be proven correct. It’s human nature. In the end in this matter Guardiola might look daft but he’s willing to take that risk out of what i sense it loyalty and to not turn his back on the fans.

One is either loyal or they are not. It isn’t something that can be fixed with a sorry. IMO.

Edit. He could perhaps differentiate though between club and owners with a slight? of tongue . not sure if corrected word.

Interesting read, according to inside sources Abu Dhabi will happily sell the club if the appeal fails and have already discussed doing so - they have zero interest in rebuilding the reputation or credibility of the club.

The best thing they could o for their sportswashing would be to put the club into a supporters trust. Selling would not make them much money and would likely do them more damage reputationally, if the punishment is very severe.

A prolonged sale in the glare of the global media.

Try and keep up.
You’d have been all over my post if it had a mild insult in it

I posted a joke image above but then i thought to myself…

If i were a trillionaire , which i am not, i walked into the LFC club shop and bought a signed shirt but i feel the shirt is worth 1 billion pounds, hand over a suitcase containing 1 billion pounds.. and walk out. would the club be able legally to accept that under the financial rules? Or would they still only be able to put in the books the market value of the shirt?

I think someone needs a rest

it is a genuine question. I know the owners of a club couldn’t do that. What happens if you did that? they’d just track you down and return it? To an amateur side you can just make a donation for the general upkeep but with a professional club?

Is it?

yes. 1 billion is extreme granted.

In case anyone forgot. Lampard played for City. Even scored against Chelsea.

Isn’t this money laundering?

Stained Class was the best Priest album

Yeah i guess it could be seen as such. If the club couldn’t show were the money came from and the explanation of random idiot doesn’t tend to work.

I was looking into it and it seems the only real way would be sponsorship at fair market value, which would sort of defeat the purposes of the person trying to just give money for nothing.. as a supporter.

It is similar to comments I was discussing the other day from some diplomat who’d done time in the Emirates, but comes at it very a different angle. His take was that Al Mubarak will be disgraced by this, because even though a small investment in his portfolio in terms of money, it is the highest profile. Because that is damn point. His take is there will great shame associated with this, either through cheating per se, or because he was dumb enough to get caught. Either way, the perspective was it would be too big a stain for them to try to address feeling the only option was to get him to walk away.

It is also interesting that City was the only top half PL team to report a financial profit, during the '20-'21 season. All but Burnley, Sheffield United and Wolves took financial losses that season, due to Covid, and these three teams only claimed profit due to low wage to revenue, or in Wolves case late player sales.

I always thought that Haaland looked a bit ‘short bus’, and his words just cement those thoughts.

Maybe the likes of Walker might “get it” if we told them “It’s like if you are playing with 13 players on the pitch for you…at all times”

Or, it’s like cheating on your wife

Walker: “yeah Im still not seeing the supposed issue here.”
