Another who is injured too often
Sounds perfect.
Not sure if his achievements can eclipse Robertsonâs.
If weâre looking Brightonâs way, think Iâd be more interested in Baleba.
Probably not. But at the quoted price of 15m. Itâs probably a no brainer. Even if he doesnât get even close to that level , we will be able to shift him for little loss.
And itâs Robertson we are talking about. Someone whoâs ranked among the top leftbacks of his generation.
I like the look of Kerkez, and he already looks very comfortable in the Prem. Heâs ready to make a step up. Granted, it will be more money, but I think we need a left back to go to the top of the class, as Robbo phases out over the next year or so.
Soler strikes me as a maybe, but then again, presumably if we are in for him the stattos are happy with it.
Kerkez
Hato
Soler
Thatâs the order for me, for left backs, and the price will probably rank in that order too.
Given the pattern of our previous transfers, Robertsonâs replacement will probably not be someone on the radar of anyone on the forums. Well, not since we dumped Mac_Red at least.
Think the last young Argentinian LB we were sort of linked with was Valentin Barco, who ended up at Brighton (now on loan at Sevilla).
It wouldnât surprise me if the links to Soler are in order to help keep the price realistic with Bournemouth, for Kerkez. Itâs not that we are messing the lad around, more saying to Bournemouth that we have other options.
One of the more interesting things about Pedro is that his presence has helped make Even Ferguson be forgotten about, someone who only 12 months ago was being linked to a 60m+ move to Utd.
It would be a very Brighton thing to do to get that sort of money from us for Pedro and then have Ferguson refind his mojo and help them improve
Soler power is the future. I just wonder whether he can perform in midweek games?
You are welcome
I worry about him in night games. Has a tendency to disappear.
Yeah runs out of juice in the second half
Or both
In view of Solerâs unsuitability for cloudy Liverpool maybe this guy would be a better option. At least his name isnât Cole.
Several big European clubs have shown interest in Bayern Munichâs 24-year-old Canada full-back Alphonso Davies, including Liverpool , Real Madrid and Barcelona. (Athletic - subscription required)
Heâll end up at Madrid. Itâs all just negotiation tactics.
But he could be a red giant in the making.
