The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Bale?

I’m here for the outcome where they can’t recruit any right-backs at all.

Jo Go for 50 million.

The Liverpool.com site really is absolutely fucking junk.

Headline - Slot to have more talks with Hughes about transfers after making ā€œweirdā€ admission

Story - lots of paragraphs unrelated to the headline, but has 1 sentence where it quotes slot saying of course he’s spoken to Hughes about plans for the summer as it would be weird if Hughes just came to him and said ā€œthese are the players we wantā€.

Headline - what Owner John Henry told Slot during title celebrations

Story - On being asked what Henry said to him Slot says so much was going on that he does not remember.

It’s 85.3% pass completion, which is 61st percentile among midfielders.

It’s all like that isn’t it.

ā€œBlow for Slot as transfer target rules out move to Liverpoolā€.

You scroll through and it’s some bloke you’ve never heard of and he says he is committed to his current club currently.

Yet some people just keep wanting to believe ā€œjournalistsā€ actually know things…

Thats the one thing that baffles me with Fabrizo ā€œHere we goā€ Romano how so many people soak up what he says.

This is less about journos not knowing things, its about an entire site that exists to host stories that dont say anything.

Yes, but they’re both two sides of the same coin.

But aren’t they all like that.

I bet Football Insider has a less than 5% success rate.

Story from the Madrid press is that the player might be reconsidering his position, as is the club.

Rumors of interest from City and big money transfer to fund new acquisitions by Madrid..

Lol, sorry, my old eyes, I thought it was 61%, looked again and that is the percentile.

But look at his passing stats compared to Grav, he just isn’t in the same league or style.

Apart from being younger even Endo’s stats look better.

Now that Trent’s situation has been confirmed publically, i wonder how quickly we will see our other buys and sells happening, or at least stronger rumours from the reliables…

Given that the reliable press reported that the club knew it since March, I feel we’ll see a few deals done when the domestic competitions are concluded.

I think the club will buy a new pair of fullbacks - even though Slot is saying that there’s no need for a major change, just an injection of fresh energy, I think we’ll see the likes of Gomez, Tsimikas and Nunez sold to fund new signings, more or less their replacements.

It’s a game of words sometimes, an injection of energy doesn’t mean we’ll buy 1-2 players who will just provide energy in backup roles. High possibility that even the club doesn’t know at this point with which first team squad we’ll end the transfer window (factors like the market, sales, pre-season can affect and change plans) and let alone us, who can just follow and discuss how things happen as we find out and get new clues from reliable media.

We’ll just have to be a bit patient and that’s it. Some question marks have been removed in last weeks and with time, we’ll get a clearer picture.

That’s pretty generous it is more like 0.01%

Regarding TAA leaving, I hope at least that he told the club early enough that we have a replacement lined up and are waiting for the transfer window to open to just announce a deal that has already been agreed.
