The Walking Eagle thread

Final line did he say “under any circumstances do not wear a mask”?

The clip cuts at just the wrong moment.

Yes it unfortunately sounds like that.

Why did he/would he say that?

He is supposed to be quoting Fauci when he says that.

He’s a fucking dangerous loon that shouldn’t be anywhere near a position of power. I’m still astounded that he got there in the first place, but we have Boris so WTF do I know.

Something very wrong in the world at the moment that these people get even the faintest sniff of any kind of office.

The world was already in a mess when the 2 best people they could send to be elected as president of supposedly the most powerful nation is Trump and Hillary. It became even stranger when Trump won. Don’t be surprised if he gets reelected even when wvery sentiment points otherwise.

I wont be surprised, I’ll be frightened and a little bit more broken.

He can screw up the US as much as he likes (Sorry US people on here) but this planet is fucked unless the US starts taking a lead on things like Climate Change. Not sure Biden would do much either but at least there’s a chance he wont flat out ignore those issues.

I am more at peace with even the mess that is going on in the world perhaps…que sera sera

Elections are never about the best people in the whole country but from a limited pool, and in that respect I dont think Hillary as a presidential candidate indicates a political system in a mess. The Republican choices available on the other hand…

I am not well versed in politics but in my perception, if Trump is like the stupid villain whom everyone knows is one just by one look, Hillary is the cunning sly one that pretends to be a good person. I don’t know who is more dangerous but to me, none is good. Maybe one is better, but none is good and out of 250 million people in the most powerful nation in the world, I was hoping they can do better than these 2 back then. I remembered saying to my friend in the US then, if it was Trump vs Obama…I think I know who will win, that is of course hindsight and of course I would not know whether Obama was truly that great but by my perception.

And still my point is that in the short term, what you mention is correct, they have to choose from whoever is there. But in the long term, surely the majority of the people can see something is truly wrong with the party system they have. Its voting for the party line not for the country and unfortunately, it is becoming obvious that the parties are just interested to bring each other down, not to bring America up.

Just my opinion but again…I would not know best.

There has been no reason to talk about Hillary since 2016. The fact that she is still talked about, every week, in certain media spheres and bubbles, and it is successfully projected by those spheres so that others again have her as a talking point, means that even what from the outside to some looks like base information warfare, actually works well.
She still isn’t relevant though. Ask yourself why certain people are writing and talking so much about a defeated presidential candidate from 2016 who in absolutely no way is a political threat. It has been “oh, look, Hillary !” since 2016 from the Trumpo-sphere, inventing more and more strange stories, from pedophilia rings run in the basement of a pizza hut, to New World Order puppeteer with the liberal Jewish oligarchs (never stated out in full like that, but the implications of the story-lines are quite, quite there). E-mail server and Benghazi, those two are real. Neither are relevant now and hasn’t been relevant since she was seeking office.

They should have let TREY GOWDY off the leash and really mince HC over her role in Benghazi…
Anyone not seen this guy in action will find plenty of clips of what he does best…

It’s the operative point, eh? How can this election be so close? He still has, according to 538, a 10% chance to win re-election, all while spouting divisive, nonsensical, alternative-universe conspiracy theories. We see this not just in the U.S. (although we are world champions) but many places in Europe, India and the Middle East, too. The reality is this line of thinking will not end if Trump loses. He’s been masterful at harnassing it, but the disruptive, angry potential of it remains in our society.

Whether or not you like Clinton, it is clear she had the skills and competence required to do the job of President. That should be the minimum standard of any candidate, and puts her ahead of a most people.

Yeah, we are going through interesting times. No doubt about that. I am worried. I expect Trump to lose, but I am worried for the reasons you pointed to in your post.
