Thiago ALCANTARA: 2022/23

If I’m not mistaken you where the one who was opposed from the start to sign him from Bayern because of his injury historie.

You were correct.

It felt more that it was Hendo we missed today, not a Thiago like player.

I am looking respectfully.

Would he be available for the Cheaty game?

Hopefully we can have Gomez, Hendo, Thiago and Diaz back either for City or soon after the break.

Would be nice to have “only” Ramsay and Bajcetic out then, but that doesn’t sound realistic at this rate!

I would say he has a chance, he hasn’t been out for a major period. And he was on the verge of coming back.

I’d not be surprised to see him training this week if they post photos.

Henderson should be back bar international horror shows. Diaz is anyones guess but I think the best you can hope is a bench appearance against Arsenal.

The older you get the longer it takes to recover from injury …

Where is Thiago Alcantara?

Thiago has not been seen since injuring himself in the 3-0 defeat to Wolves last month.

His muscle issue was understood immediately to be a serious one, which would keep him out for at least a month.

Klopp confirmed at his press conference this week that the Spaniard was still not ready to resume full training.

Expected return date: Unclear. Will not feature against Bournemouth or Real Madrid.

It’s about 2 and a half weeks once they hit full training especially if it’s shorter they tend to become available. Diaz won’t

Look at the bright side, no more defeats in the coming 2 weeks … :ghost:

Sadly it’s got to the point that I’d be happy if we could replace Thiago this summer.

Gotten injured against Wolves on February 4 IF he is fit again for the Cheaty match it is been 2 months with a muscle injury. Hopeless.

Thiago has missed 15 of Liverpool’s 40 games this season through injury. Last term, he sat out 22 of 63 due to fitness concerns. And during his debut Reds campaign, he was absent for 20 of 51 matches. That’s an availability rate of around 63%.

Of his 93 appearances, 71 have been as a starter. However, he has played the full 90 minutes just 31 times.

I’m at the point where I think we have to listen to offers for this lad. Absolutely gorgeous footballer, but we can’t paying those wages to someone who only makes half the games.

This has been another minor knock that has turned into a two month layoff.

It was never considered a minor knock but the point still stands.

NEW: Thiago Alcântara remains out injured and is adhering to an individual programme after a hip complaint. #lfc [paul joyce - times]

Just seen this on Twitter

According to Paul Joyce, Thiago Alcântara remains out injured and is adhering to an individual programme after a hip complaint.

10th February the club said he would be out for 4 weeks. Now we are looking a minimum of 2 months

For me we have to listen to offers in the summer for him. Shame but we need to look elsewhere.
