If we were in the CL this season it would be different… If the lad wants to go, then why not
I wouldn’t expect much from a potential fee, it simply wouldn’t be anything special (won’t have serious meaning for our budget/net spend this summer). But a certain fee would have to be involved, that’s for sure. It might happen if there’s enough interest and I think especially if the player wants a new step, new motivation, new security also for more than the next year.
If he goes oily lands we get a decent fee, anywhere else 10m.
Problem with expecting Saudis to fork out crap loads means it just inflates the market. If Salah was to go next summer I’d prefer it to be market value and a bit rather than silly money.
Happily sell Thiago for 25m if it allowed us to purchase Lavia/Thuram.
Nobody knows how fit he is I don’t believe a word of it.
No one’s paying 25m for Thiago.
Nobody is going to buy Thiago before he is fully fit.
If anyone makes a reasonable bid or if there is a club that he really wants to go to, I will let him go for free. As a person and a senior player in the squad, he has nothing but respect for the club and seems likeable and enjoys a good camaraderie with people at the club. However, for all the reputation he has come with, he just never really shown anything near that on the pitch. Of course, the constant disruption through injuries do not help. But its a fact, that he has shown nothing near to what he has shown in his previous clubs. Freeing up his wages would already be a huge win for us. But if nothing comes by, he is still a great leader to have around the dressing room.
1 DM and 1 (versatile) CB
Saudi’s probably will.
They’ll match his salary. No way they’ll pay more than 10.
Anyway , if there’s a concrete offer coming.
I don’t see Thiago going to Saudi PL. MLS is a different thing
