It is written as Tsigane in french but you pronounce it Tzigane for an english speaking person
It’s gitan(e) to anybody who actually lives in France.
Only dictionaries use “tzigan” or any variant thereof.

They really are! A lad at Uni gave me some poor folk Russian cigarettes in the late 90s; fck me, they were strong. The tar would run down the outside as you smoked them. The crudest things I ever saw. A cardboard tube 2/3 lenght of the tobacco piece, that you had to pinch to create a filter. I actually loved them!
