Atalanta not possible.
Order of preference
Lazio
Porto
Gladbach
Leipzig
Sevilla
Barca
Atletico
None of the clubs pose any awkward travel, so, whatever.
Atletico: It’s not that I’m afraid/uncomfortable facing them, not a bit. But we would be playing Mourinho at least twice so there’s not much need for more anti-football.
Barcelona: A glamour tie, on paper. But they are a poor side and games will be poor.
BMG, Leipzig & Sevilla: These three will put up the most spirited performances and the games promises to be juicy.
Lazio & Porto: Meh
surely we cant draw atalanta?
id be keen on Barca…as shite as they are, its still the champions league, and they are still Barca…i think theyd come out at us…
Borussia Monchengladbach v Manchester City
Lazio v Bayern Munich
Atletico Madrid v Chelsea
RB Leipzig v Liverpool
Porto v Juventus
Barcelona v Paris St-Germain
Sevilla v Borussia Dortmund
Atalanta v Real Madrid
Leipzig. Glad we avoided the Spanish clubs. Won’t be easy, but we should have some key players back hopefully by then.
One to savour…
Going to be two feisty, tasty, ties
Oh joy, watch out for Fuming Franky
The Gaffer can do the presser in Deutsch, he will love that.
Who did Utd get?
Sheffield on 17th
I think we can rule out getting a Leipzig defender in January now. They’re also getting Szoboszlai apparently.
Perfect draw for us, plus PSG or Barca go out. Yes they’re both shadows of themselves but could equally destroy anybody on their day.
At least Péter Gulácsi will finally get to make a first-team appearance at Anfield.
Tasty tie! Hopefully we’ll have a reasonably fit squad at that stage
So happy for Chelsea
Bookies have got Bayern as favourites , City next (really ?) and us at 6/1. If I was still a betting man I’d be having some of that.
Spanish giants Real Sociedad.
Thiago just posted this;
We’re winning our seventh European Cup in 2021 - it’s what this man was made to do.
Interesting tie tactically.
We should do the job, but it’s a long, long way until then.
We’ll see how both teams are with injuries and form when we get there.
