UEFA Champions League 2020-21

I think that’s good for us 1 less game and an automatic win.

They can get fucked.

*Unless they agree to sell us Konate for £5m in the summer.

So we play one game less if it’s registered 0-3 for us and they have to chase 3 goals in the return leg?

Actually sad, what a shitty year. :pensive:

Also being mentioned is a straight knock out,one game only deal.

Don’t care. Would be great if we get that 3-0 without playing but I can see it happen.

I’m really surprised that we didn’t agree to play at home first, given our relationship with Leipzig. Feels a shame to potentially sour that relationship.

It would be utterly unfair to Leipzig.

Because playing the second leg at home is usually an advantage.

Personally I’d rather play in Budapest than a straight knock out.

The CL should be done how it was last time get the leagues done and have a festival of football in April, also boot that international break as far as it can go.

How do they plan all that. Some games two legs, some games one leg. Organize a mini tournament somewhere.

:joy:

Like a mini World Cup, like they did for 8 teams in the Summer you mean? Better than having half teams playing in club competitions and having the silliness of flying out to St Petersburg for a match?

It’s likely Gladbach will have the same problem for their game against City a week later.

I mean won’t other teams on the continent potentially run into similar issues? Honestly feels like folly trying to have all of these cup comps this year.

So it seems Leipzig prefers - or actually has few other choices - to play the first leg in Britain.

They think it might help if Liverpool would not play both legs in England so they are trying to find something in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

Rather play in the UK if possible as opposed to Russia

This competition has gone to shit I see. Not interested anymore, and can’t wait for this poor excuse of a season to end.

In the UK obviously better than Russia but once that decision has been made, why not at a PL ground? What’s the point of avoiding England?

Might as well play both games at Anfield. Is not that we have an advantage, base on the last few games.

Play it at the Millennium stadium
