UEFA Champions League 2020-21

I’ve never seen them play but I do some betting in that league from time to time based on stats, I think they are pretty open anyhow I think it’s a nice group, if we aren’t at it we might make it difficult but it’s better than most groups we’ve had since our return.

This saddens me a lot. Missing out on Italy and also the Dam, one of my fav cities.

Agreed. Draw could probably be better theoretically, but it is a very good draw on paper and we can hardly complain. If we are on top of things we will proceed, if not, it will of course be very exciting, but you don’t get free draws in the Champions League anyway. Any possible team we would draw would be on a Premier League level anyway irrespective of how bad the bottom of their respective tables are.

But with how things are going for us, with all the fair winds Liverpool FC has in its sails right now, I am pretty damn confident we will advance !

United will actually go through, which will be another PSG moment while they’ll struggle in the league, giving Ole more time to implement his ideas :joy:

It would make for a good story, but I doubt they can advance. Their group is much too tough. They would need to play on their max level in almost every game while their opponents can’t reach max level in most games. Possible, but damn hard.

Having watched them limp home against Copenhagen I wouldn’t back them to beat Istanbul Basekehir(sic)

Though a welcome revisit of that Rio clip would be most welcome.

Our group’s way easier than all the rest on account of us not having to play Liverpool FC

Great draw for us. Atalanta may pose a few problems and will definitely make for entertaining games but would still expect us to win at least 5 of the 6 games.

Gotta say, when our furthest away game is less than 2.5 hours away we’ve done well there. No trips to Russia, Turkey, Ukraine or any other backwater destination. Result. Plus these places I’ve got more confidence in in terms of them properly testing their players and staff.

Quite happy with that. Ajax are a proper old fashioned footie club. Would have preferred to avoid another Italian club but at least it isn’t Napoli again and my wife has just explained how to pronounce Midtjylland.

I don’t much fancy United’s group. I’ll get the popcorn…

I would have preferred not to draw Atalanta, but whatever. This is quite reasonable and I’m not nervous at all.

Good group, all attacking teams so should be some good games. Quietly confident.

Watches Milner, Gini, Hendo start at home to Atlanta haha.

I’m fucking happy with the draw.

My first prayer, no awkward travel. Check
My next prayer, exciting teams. Check

That was exactly the teams I wanted as Ajax has lost most of their best players to Barca and Manure but I cannot understand how people think that Shitty’s group is easy trust me Marseille and Olympiakos are going to be really awkward for them.
Manure will do well to get out of that group!

Didn’t know UEFA had a say anyway, I thought it would have been governed by local laws regardless.

Yes Payet is going to go through all his repertoire of diving spitting winding up of the goalie haha
That’s why Iam puzzled why people think it is an easy group?

I think City’s group is in the middle. Could have been worse, could have been better. Hopefully they’ll progress to the knock-out stages.
