Alternatively, they just havenât been that good this season. In the league they allowed a not very good Barca side to canter to the title and are in a real battle to avoid coming third. The side they are in that battle with are facing up to losing a club legend as manager this summer due to a growing appreciation everything has become stale. They are also a side who spent half the season not being able to play their best player for more than a half a time because they couldnât afford to pay the money that would have required.
We made them look a lot better than they are.

City made them look like a conference league team in comparison. Also, this wasnât a loss of control, this was complete and utter domination with the exception of the first quarter or so of the second half.

We lost to Leeds. At Anfield. So, yeah.
They were previously charged by UEFA on the same stuff, but city dragged it out enough to clear time bars (amongst other things). Meanwhle its the PL thats charged them this time. Moot point, theyâll keep doing it, and its only going to get worst, and thats before you consider Newcastle.

Carvajal is dogshite. Got away with shitehouse tactics on Grealish at Madrid but needing someone to double up against Jack every time. And even then they got torn apart quite a few times.

I am not entirely convinced. They havenât played anyone in this run that was close to their best.
Real Madrid had one good half, one mediocre and two terrible ones. Bayern have been far from dominant and are in real danger of missing out on their domestic league. Arsenal have been on a downward spiral for a while, whereas when we played them, we were close at our lowest point in years.
Everything is falling into place for them cunts but itâs not over yet. If Inter were to remember their history and set up an Helenio Herrera catenaccio and combine it with the luck of the Inzaghi brothers, it could happen. I wouldnât stop laughing at them and taking the piss for weeks.

Madrid have an uncanny ability to play us in our worst periods. Play today and it would have been much more of a game.

Maybe to an extent but its remarkable that we always seem to play them when our general form, outside of playing Madrid, is declining or our performances are waning.

Reals run to the semi has been a bit lucky.
They played an out of form Liverpool and a total mess in Chelsea.
Played a team in form and got thumped.
