Nope, I’d rather watch paint dry.
As amusing as it would be to watch City fall just short yet again, can’t help but feel it doesn’t even matter anymore. The rot has already set deep, and now the Saudis have qualified without even really flexing yet.
It’s been really sickening to witness the dreadful obsequiousness and fawning of the mainstream UK sports media toward the cheats. Sly are of course the worst - as usual, but the BBC are not far behind. And don’t get me started on the Daily Fail. Are collective memories so short? It wasn’t that long ago when they were all baying for cheaty blood after the Premiere League dropped it’s FFP bombshell. Really sickening.
Nothing against Carson, but let’s pray he doesn’t get that second winner’s medal.
Yup 100%.
Plus, I’ve got Inter to win, doubled with Rory McIlroy to win the Canadian Open.
76/1
Thought you had to play a certain numbers of games to “qualify” for a medal?
The clubs in the final get 40 medals each, to distribute as they wish.
Fair enough so. But if you claim to have won a tournament, that you didn’t even play in, then you’re only kidding yourself.

A far better story
Interesting, it’s just now that I see the stadium is not exactly the same as 2005.
They didn’t have these big “walls” behind both stands behind the goal (the other one is a bit smaller than this one).
Great memories for us, but always thought this stadium was a bit too open, especially being outside the city and I think there’s lots of wind there.
Seems all this talk of GOAT (he really isn’t) it seems to suggest he has already won it by some in the press.
I genuinely sense a major upset tonight, followed by the Spaniard bailing out before the shit hits the fan with his cheating club.
He’ll then retrospectively claim to have had no knowledge of their dodgy dealings.
Twat.
Inter up for a big thrashing tonight.
Can’t remember a football final where the odds have been so high against one team.
He probably forgot that he owned them…

I won’t focus today on the injustice that’s been unfolding since 2008 (Abu Dhabi) and 2003 (Abramovich). New “fans” need to have a chance to study humanity and ethics and like the World Cup, those 2 transactions will always be there for them to learn about sports-washing.
Yeah, I was happy AC Milan didn’t advance, so they stayed at 7 big ears.
But, I think they’d have had a slightly better chance (30-70) than Inter (25-75).
Regardless of the odds it’s a single encounter and an Italian team can really frustrate any opponent.
I decided to watch it.
Wasn’t there another game in Istanbul that one time?
I doubt Inter have a Stevie G though.
