UEFA Champions League (Part 1)

Yeah one side looks easier than the other. I guess we will see.

I assume the free lunch these draws provide is why they keep doing them. Makes sense why Slot wasn’t bothered about his PC at 11am.

Nah. Both are piss easy until the Semi stage. If we fail to reach the final we have fucked up monumentally somewhere along the line.

That’s just a bit silly.

They should have let the winner chose who to play, then no 2 get to chose and so on. That would have been fun.

No thanks. Hubris and all.

Looking at it, my only thoughts on the draw are that we should fear no-one over two legs.

Forest say hi…

They must be in the same part of the draw as Manchester United.

I don’t like these paths in advance anyway, would prefer not knowing what’s ahead of us. Makes it more exciting and you can focus on games. I mean I will focus on our games one by one anyway, but it’s like people already start calculating what the final will be.

The CL Play Off 1st legs are on tonight/tomorrow night.

Todays matches;

Brest v PSG
Juve v PSV
Man City v Real Madrid
Sporting Lisbon v Borussia Dortmund.

I heard a bit of the press conferences of Pep and Carlo last night.

Ancelotti reckons whoever out of these two makes it through will likely go on and win the tournament - “I am convinced the team that goes through from this tie will go on to win the competition”

I struggle to believe City have the minerals to win the CL this year. Real Madrid do, but seems that Carlo forgot that Real were poor in the league stages.

I said before that I think it would do us a favour City beating Madrid, and think I stand by that - although I wouldn’t mind seeing City totally hammered by Real.

Ancelotti’s just a bitter Evertonion.

After all they are in the playoff stages because they weren’t in the top 8 of clubs. RM usually do push on so I would like to see them gone but I also hate Man City so a small asteroid impact that wipes out the ground and surrounding area is welcome.

I do like Manchester as a city though so just around Piccadilly station as the cut off please.

I hope the media takes that line, if I’m being honest. I like us as the underdogs.

Hopefully, City vs Madrid is going to be a tight affair tonight which will leave every outcome possible for the return leg a few days before we play them.

He’s protecting himself. He knows that no matter how badly City are playing his side are still vulnerable and so is getting his excuses in before he needs them.

If Madrid win tonight, Fraudiola will have to play his best players in the second leg… Which as it happens, is in the mid week before our weekend tussle with them…!

Aguero putting his balls on the line

Absolute non-league standard football in that sequence there - striker 5 yards offside, takes a terrible touch to fuck up the chance anyway, gets bailed out by the keeper acting like a moron for diving in and bringing him down. Came to nothing because Vini was offside, but everyone involved should hang their head

Madrid messing about, should already be 2 up.

Playing with them.

Can’t believe the bookies have them at about 14/1 to win the thing.

Edit: Tens now. (Loads must have piled on at that price when I saw it.)

Paramount commentators getting the applicable bit of the offside rule wrong. Twice.
