UEFA Champions League (Part 1)

Or they might lose to the Villains.

Apparently, that’s the first time Rice has scored from a direct free-kick. Liked it so much he did it twice.

The current Madrid team will no doubt get slaughtered by the press the next day. If Trent goes there, he will end up as the convenient scapegoat for them to blame…

Trent will get blamed for last night’s result? A bit harsh no?

A no-lose situation?

Or lose in the finals, so i make it 4 things that could happen

First time a player has scored 2 direct free kicks in a match at the KO stages of CL!

I might be a bit of a nasty cunt, but I really don’t want any other English side winning the CL.
I hated when City, Chelsea or Utd won it. Villa didn’t bother me but I felt that Forest had stolen something that was ours.

And in hindsight, the fact that Clough was lauded for Peter Taylors work still rankles. Given Clough’s nonsense about Hillsborough.

I really don’t want Arsenal to win this. I’m less bothered about Villa. But ideally Dortmund win this.

I wouldnt mind Villa winning it. Cant have Lego head winning it.

Still, Im amazed that both us and Arsenal have beaten Madrid considering the Premier Leagues quality is the worst its ever been. :face_savoring_food:

I don’t care except that it’s likely to give Arsenal a huge confidence boost.

With Ancelotti being hauled into court over non-payment of his taxes, and RM getting rid of him at the end of the season… Looked to me anyway, that poor display, was Ancelotti giving the Spanish fans, a fuck you sign :0)

I don’t want to see Arsenal win the CL, but i equally don’t want to see Real win it, so last night’s result if fine.

If Real turn Arsenal over, that would be funny for lego head.

Given PSG are in a rich vein if form, i struggle to see Villa beating them…so in all liklihood it’ll be a PSG v Arsenal Semi…fine by me as think PSG smash them too.

In an ideal world its one of the teams on the other side of the draw that do it.

Most of the teams left in represent an offensive outcome should they win it. Arsenal are one of the few who dont, but I have my own personal desire to see that project stutter rather than be validated. Partially because I think its in our best interests to have a legit challenger to us undercut, but partly because they have become very unlikeable and I dont want to see that rewarded. Villa winning it with the manager Arsenal discarded would probably be the best outcome here both in terms of avoiding having one of the unpleasant clubs winning it, but also for the LOLs of having to watch the Arsenal fans explain away the manager they discarded winning it. It might make the questions about whether Arteta is the right guy to take them to the next level grow.

If an English club wins it that takes away focus on us winning the PL. Don’t want that.

Do you mean ā€œthe best looking PL managerā€?:rofl:

Looks like a rat. And that’s being generous.

Rats are much cuter than LegoMan.

Don’t mind Villa winning it but as others have said Arsenal have become a really dislikeable club.
