UEFA Champions League (Part 1)

In this season’s UCL Q/Finals, two dominant midfield models have emerged IMO.

First the relentless physical-technical combo of Arsenal, Bayern, Inter, Villa and Madrid.

Second the high intensity, relentless technical football of PSG and Barca, best exemplified by the two Portuguese wizards, Joao Neves and Vitinha..

Both able to cover enormous amount of ground, with little loss of intensity the entire game. Able to play all range of passes and/or keep the ball under pressure. And both only really matched in this aspect by Pedri, Olmo and De Jong…

Which leads me to LFC’s MF and the summer ahead. I think that for all his work rate, Szobo in that #10 role is a constraint on the game model developing further than it has this season…

That would have meant it was parked up for about 3 weeks.

Europa League anthem being played at Villa park?

:joy: :joy: :joy:

Players were laughing.

Go back to Intertoto cup level where you belong, Villans.

Think that is Villa done.

Martinez, objectionable cunt

Yeah, if Barca were in their natural shorts and not these white ones, I don’t know how I’d see the difference between the teams…

Hate that rule in the last few years. Nonsense.

Be amusing if that ends up 4-3.

Like Barca treat 3-0 leads like nuclear waste.

PSG are far too much for these.

These are what you call a proper pair of fullbacks.

Villa leaving Cash and Torres isolated against Dembele Mendes and Barcola was quite funny though.

2nd goal PSG and what a goal, scintillating counter attack

Getting desperate now…

Or perhaps not, I’ll put Dortmund on and come back if it gets any closer.

PSG must be terrified now! Only three ahead overall…

I can see that ending up about 5-3 to PSG

Mcginn is a proper yard dog of a player.

Adeyemi has been disappointing with the chances he got so far. There’s a proper player there, just not consistent enough to be a top wide forward

So which match? Who is more likely to get close to a miracle?

I might switch over to Dortmund for a while.

The miracle is on
