Not sure if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know what the rules are in regard to Madrid being allowed to close their roof at their stadium (it was closed tonight). It appears to theoretically give them an unfair advantage as the acoustics are enhanced with their home support, although admittedly it didn’t seem to help them much tonight!

And the Diaz song as well

Not really. Yes , they outplayed us over two legs. But those are two bad matches for us when we had a downturn in form and PSG had fresher players and were cruising in the farmers league. I’d say the best teams in the CL so far are Barcelona, Us , Arsenal and Inter. We had a nearly perfect group stage and PSG crawled their way into the knockouts.

We still managed to get it down to the penalties even then that means that PSG for all their flair find it tough to breakdown good defences. Arsenal are defensively better than us and PSG will find it tough to break them.

Arsenal should win this competition just based on their defence being better than everyone elses.
All teams that have gone through to semi have conceeded a lot of goals in the 2 ties as their defences arent great.

The stars are aligning for Barca to break their hearts in the final again.
Can’t wait

Barcelona winning would mean that they’ve equalled our record.

Best case scenario is Inter followed by PSG.

It really is just rather unpalatable a final 4 isn’t it?

I think my personal preference would be Inter > Barcelona > Arsenal > PSG.

Can’t stand sport-washing, can’t stand the inevitable wanking over Arsenal (but would prefer that to human rights abusing sportwashers.

Inter over Barcelona for the reasons you had though.

Fair points.
Worst case scenario is Arsenal joining Man City with one less European Cup than Forest

I don’t really get all the Arsenal hate but I guess I am a different generation and I don’t read social media which no doubt drives it…

My lifelong love for LFC doesn’t mean I have to resent any success our rivals enjoy.

Their manager is a passionate guy who can wind people up but we had one like that.

I am with @maria in hoping they win it now.

Anyone but Arsenal for me. I’ve come to thoroughly dislike that club since Arteta has been there. For me he took the very worst of Guardiola’s gamesmanship and stuck boosters on it. This season’s set piece shenanigans showed them for what they really are ; very talented cheats.

Basically my feelings. They are a proper club with a history and tradition. They aren’t a sportswashing venture. For the most part, they seem to have a proper fanbase.

It’s not my club, but when they aren’t competing with us, best of luck to them.

Maybe, the social media is the difference, as it tends to be full of tedious wind-up merchants and trolls.

I have a soft spot for Arsenal. I liked their players, especially under the George Graham era. Then, i have also admired Arsene Wenger where he changed the culture of football in terms, he was more empathetic father figure, changed the diet and made players fitter and athletic. He is a true gentleman. The Arsenal fans I knew growing up were very nice and friendly people. I would like Arsenal to win it for him especially as well as the fans.

It also makes our league stronger and more interesting for foreign players to come to our league if a UK club win it.
