I so want us to go all in for the FA cup match now to make their season equally as forgettable as ours. Providing Arsenal don’t bottle it again.
City have to play Real again and Arsenal in a final before we meet, also they have the same 2 week international break as us in between.
I don’t fancy our chances anyway to get to semis, but I’d be prepared to do a voodoo ritual type thing for someone like Verbruggen or Kobel to go full elbows in against Alfie on corners

If I am honest, I actually still think we will progress. I feel we were rather lucky with the draw. Galatasaray away (as in not in Turkey), isn’t that awful usually. But we need dicipline and our primary problem is that we don’t score from open play much (so they can sit back and counter us).
I think it is 55/45 with us as slim favorites despite our form. I have some faith that our guys at least will do their utmost best given the kind of game it is.
The reason I won’t say 60/40 is exactly because we don’t score much from open play…

I’m not 100% yet that the fixture is already decided? Chelsea did get back into it, but it looks like they left making substitutions way too late on, and probably the wrong players to bring on. If they tried to defend the scoreline at 70 ish minutes stage then it could’ve been closer.
I suspect they will go for it in the return leg also. Could be 10 to PSG or Chelsea level up.
If we beat Galatasary and meet PSG then yes it’s no confidence and only a fluke would see us get to semis honestly.

True, but we can still wing it to the next round if we have a good day. We get kicked out in the quorter finals though, but getting there is worth money and some prestige (even for a club of the size of Liverpool).
I still think we are slim favorites to advance to the next round. As long as we can mobilise and have a “good day”.
