Im sure there are bit of it that are, but it’s pretty unambiguous that he used Sport as a means of propaganda, and Real were a valuable vehicle for that. They may not have been created for that purpose (i.e. he used them as propoganda for the power of a centralized Spain because they were good) and may not have benefited directly from his involvement, but as most of Spains traditional powers are non-castilian, those main rivals were certainly reigned in by elements of Franco’s regime (Barca and Bilbao particularly).

My grandfather used to say they lived next to the Hitlers which I always thought was a joke but Adolf Hitler’s brother lived in Toxteth at one time. His nephew was born in Liverpool and eventually moved to the US and served in the American Navy during WWII.
I don’t know about the Hitlers being Evertonians, though. Every family has embarrassing secrets but I think that’s pushing it a bit.
