I’m watching Barcelona struggling I just love it.
I don’t mind Barcelona (like them infinitely more than Real Madrid), but would be really cool if teams like Dynamo Kiev and Benfica advanced ahead of them. Because underdogs (or are they, Barcelona are not like they used to be and totally out of form).
Varane injured again?
Need him to hold off Cheaty this coming weekend, damn it!
Greenwood on for Varane.
FMD…Ole is the just the best!
Yeah, looked like a muscle something .
Atalanta has completely taken over the game. I am a bit surprised given how well MU started. But now Atalanta attacks with flair and MU must suddenly just survive on launching mere counter attacks. Interesting development.
Ole’s back three experiment went well.
The result might not go as they need, but they’ve got 4 players fresh out of the the academy playing in a key CL game. Shit, it’s 5 if you ignore Garcia’s detour through Manchester. And that’s on top of Busquets. That’s pretty fucking cool. I get they’ve had problems with their squad, but every one one of those kids is playing ahead of a senior player they bought who has to content themselves with a seat on the bench.
Varane off, Greenwood on.
I think we know what happens next.
They’ve leveled.
Pretty great set up goal that. 1-1.
Which makes their financial crisis that much more pathetic to my mind.
I am really hoping that Benfica can somehow manage a draw or better against Bayern München. That would be a cool result and if Barcelona then lose, well then it will get tense as hell that group.
Self inflicted by having unsustainable wages over many years. While I prefer Barcelona greatly to Real Madrid it would be nice if this could lead to another Spanish team taking Barcelona’s spot as a top team for a few years.
Edit: It is sort of nice watching other teams than Liverpool in the Champions League. A different sensation, not as exciting and euphoric (if it goes well), but so relaxing. You can just enjoy good fottie without being worked up emotionally.
Atalanta are worse than us at keeping leads.
Much to the delight of the commentator on BT Sports. He’s just ruined another pair of pants.
Oh fuck me! There’s Rio Ferdinand back on TV! It must be the first time he’s been out of his house since we twatted Utd.
Not gonna be good for them if Varane can’t play against Man City.
