2nd (or is it 3rd?) season slump for Xabi?

Wouldn’t say it’s a slump. Last season would be near impossible to replicate. They’re only three off the top in the Bundesliga and they’ve won their opening two games in the CL.

5th November might be the night AS can state he has finally arrived - The boys will pass Leverkusen for 90mins in a blur
Xabi will be dizzy at the end of the night

Good to see two actual giants of English football on top.

Considering who we played and where we played them it’s been a really good start.

My sense is that that win in Milan is going to look better the deeper we get into the 8 rounds. Milan’s one win isn’t anything to mark them out as a power, but they are definitely playing better now than six weeks ago, seemingly headed in the right direction.

And it’s helped keep question’s about Arne’s European/ Champion’s League experience at bay too, which is equally helpful.

Did noticed his Feynoord team seemed to probably meet their expectations in Europe the last couple of years so it was one area I didn’t have much doubt on.

Compared to say Rodgers who seemed to have an allergic reaction and still does.

I was just reading this thread.

Is it true that as far as FIFA is concerned a drawn cup final match is a draw, it was just decided on pens?

yep, sounds weird, i had to take a look as well, it doesn´t count as a defeat when you lose on pens.

You learn something new every day.

Feels rather ridiculous.

that was always my understanding.

the match ends in a draw, so no one loses, however, the result is decided by penalties…

to me, it makes sense…its hardly important though to be honest, you either win the pot or you dont…stating unbeaten records might be a reason for some pride, it hardly equates to winning the thing…

to put it in surreal league terms, no point banging on about an undefeated league season if 35 of the games finished in draws…it would however, give you a platform to work with…

There was a team a few years back in the lower leagues who claimed they hadn’t been beaten in the league for a while but didn’t include playoff games :joy:

Surprise, surprise: it was a complete travesty.

Well deserved Rodri, wasn’t even such a difficult choice this year. At least for me.

Okay Madrista.
