UEFA Conference League

Bodø/Glimt vs Roma tonight. Glimt isn’t in good form yet judging from their first league game, so I don’t dare to hope for a miracle really.

Glimt has opened okay. Best team so far. Glimt looks alert.

Glimt playing amazing ! You guys have to watch this !

My God, Glimt is playing well. 0-0 still, but Glimt is attacking and attacking and just far, far better !
Glimt has far more possession too!

1-0 to Roma after a brilliant attack.

Roma had only 2 real attacks, but far more lethal than Glimt has been unfortunately. Glimt played the best by far, but not so effective in the box  A lot of almost.
All in all, Roma incredibly lucky to be in front. They must be very happy with this half time result to say the least.

Typical Mourinho that.

1-1 !!!

Lol, a bit of a strange goal. But we’ll take it. Roma keeper truly fucked up.

Bodø/Glimt has turned it around in minute 88 !!!

Lovely cross, smashing header, it is 2-1 !!!

This is a miracle, although this has been happening so much with Glimt that I don’t know if I can use the word miracle anymore. Glimt sells their best players, got several out injured, but might beat Roma at home in a freaking absolutely amazing (to reach a quarter finals is absolutely miraculous !) quorter finals !!!

My God !!! What is happening with Glimt. It is beyond preposterous now !

This is just so shocking a result !!! It this stands, it is just beyond amazing ! To think this team with a puny budget that sells all their best players every season may win the first game in a quarter finals, it is absolutely stunning !

Wow…

Just wow… :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed: :flushed:

Probably the greatest football surprise of the decade, this team. No, wait, it is. No one else comes close. Glimt punches so above their weight that it is beyond ridiculous !!!

Dimitri Payet’s goal to put Marseille 2-0 ahead against PAOK. The ball was still rising when it slammed into the net. What a beauty.

Wow !

Just to highlight what the Roma forum writes.

  • While Roma’s Europa Conference League Quarterfinal is a two-leg contest, José Mourinho and the Giallorossi can take another step towards erasing their 14-year trophy drought today. We all remember the horrors of Roma’s last trip to Bodø, a 6-1 shellacking in November’s group stage fixture, and while they were able to rebound in the return fixture thanks to an 84th-minute goal from Roger Ibañez that enabled Roma to save face in a 2-2 draw, the Norwegian champs have given Roma all they can handle, and then some.

However, a quick start tonight could set Roma on the right foot as they attempt to lay claim to the first-ever Conference League trophy. Bodø lost some of its bite during the January transfer window, watching as key contributors like Patrick Berg and Erik Botheim left the club for greener pastures. Still, as the first fixture proved definitively, Roma will underestimate Bodø to their own peril.

The lineups are in, so let’s see if Roma can exact a bit of revenge tonight.*

Notice how Glimt sold their 2 best players since they beat Roma last time. Notice also how their top scorer Solbakken was out injured !!!

And Roma had full team ! It is a miracle this !!!

Beyond ridiculous !

After Roma’s coach attacked Kjetil Knutsen and grabbed him by the throat (they had an awful behaviour all game and kept mocking Bodø and harrasing the coaches), Kjetil Knutsen slammed him to the ground. In Norway, people are a bit in shock since UEFA decided to suspect both of them and not only the Roma coach, during preliminary investigations. It feels terribly unfair. There is a very long video that Bodø claims is 100 percent crystal clear evidence of what happens. The police has it.

Anyway, so Knutsen is suspended and there will be a massive hate atmosphere due to the awful lack of sportsmanship from Roma. The game starts in 1 H and 25 min, and will be an exciting affair. It is however extremely sad that Knutsen will not be allowed to lead his team against the Italian assholes.
I am guessing Roma will raise the the challenge and win by 2-3 goals, but you never know with Bodø/Glimt !
It is in any case a game that should be seen.

Rodgers choking in Europa again.

Didn’t Bodo Glimt utterly embarrass Jose & Roma in the group stages last year?

Oh dear Patson Daka, 1 on 1 and puts it wide.
