And we have a goal ! From a free kick and Lindelof lets his guy escape, keeper no chance.
ya know what, I think Cavani has saved United’s season. nevermind Fernandez, I’d take Cavani at LFC pretty quickly. he’s a lethal poacher
Really doubt this will be the winning goal, match much to offensively lively for that to happen.
this has the callings of a 4-3 win by Villareal in extra time
Cavani is awesome and a natural athlete, so will last longer than many think. His physique is a bit Ibrahimovic light. But even so, he is arguably past his peak. Still a fantastic forward though.
Edit: But for Liverpool, I don’t know. Very high wages and it is very hard to know exactly how many years he has left at the top. So not a category of player we would aim for I think, even though he is fantastic.
I remember traveling Italy in Jan 2011 and being in a little pub near the train station in Firenze (Joshua Tree), watching Cavani rip apart Juventus. scored a hat trick. Fortunately when I cheered for him, the locals saw my 2010 Olympic host jacket from Vancouver and didn’t shank me outside.
Hehe, would be funny with a penalty to Villareal, but in all honesty you can’t chop off poor Luke’s hand (at least without prior warning and anesthetics ).
Wow, this Villarreal team are:
Terrible at keeping the ball.
Terrible at passing.
Terrible at breaking quickly.
Terrible at supporting the attackers.
They make MU look like MC playing Sheffield Utd.
Am I missing anything?
I unfortunately don’t see how the scum don’t score at least 1.
Winning.

Honestly, I think it has been a competitive game between two good teams (much better than most Premier League games this season imo) , MU got an edge in midfield in the first, but Villareal have been dangerous on counter attacks and set ball situations.
I agree that Manchester U looks a bit stronger overall, but still, Villareal lead and the ball is round, so anything can happen. But yeah, very much doubt the one goal will be the last one in the game.
I really did t understand that break from the kid on the right side, got into the penalty area, delays a fair bit, and no support in sight. Zero ambition from VR.
I think that we are just too spoiled by our boys in the art of counter attacks.
I think they have been playing very cautiously due to the great speed of Manchester’s wing-like forwards and that they are concerned about sudden tempo shifts at the back for their defenders. Balance when they go forward seems to be a priority, so it gets slowed down. But I can’t really blame them that much, as they have managed a perfectly fine goal. Besides, the longer this goes on, the more space will likely open for their midfield and forwards on transition, as Ole Gunnar needs his team to score fairly fast (then again, he too is likely nervous of counters).
Anyway, I think the match has been a decent watch so far and I really think we will see 1-3 more goals.
Oh dear…

Villarreal have started this half better. Credit to them so far for keeping Bruno quite.
Both players going down like shot in the box. Should never be a pen.
Wow, Mu didn’t get VAR penalty.
Pernandes dislikes this.
The shyte bastards
Hmmm, offside maybe?
