Pitch invasion in Freiburg, never seen Badener so temperemental. Biggest success of their history. Kind of what that competition is made for, these smaller clubs.
He has sort of mastered this level of clubs and competition, just below the biggest ones, but in and around European competitions.
But yeah, if he continues like this, he might get another opportunity at a big club at some point again. I don’t even think he will rush, but if he’s presented a good chance.
Still only 54, it seems he’s been in the job forever.
Yeah that is massive, never hear Freiburg as club in trophy prospect.
Hope they beat Villa in final, would be more of a story!
Let’s hope that our boys remember to show up on the Friday’s match instead of thinking it would be held on Saturday!
Why is there a centipede on his face?
Fantastic for them.
You are right with the point about “smaller”clubs having the shot at Euro glory.
When the big English clubs qualify for Europa or Conference they are disappointed and mocked. That says it all.
Will Arne be back from Ibiza by next Friday evening? Maybe he could fly into Birmingham airport on Friday afternoon.
I’m just joking of course, before anyone gets a bit hot under the collar. Or am I?
I can not do pleasure for SC Freiburg. I do not like them.
Why? They are a likeable club with a small, but passionate following.
This is one of the reasons:
Nils Petersen was a poor loser (in German: “schlechter Verlierer”) after the 0-1 defeat of SC Freiburg in the away match at Hamburger SV on 31th matchday during the 2017-18 season and Fritz Keller, on this time the president of SC Freiburg (and later for among two years the president of German Football Association DFB), has said, that referees and HSV stands in crisis together, according to his words too in the promotion/relegation play-offs in 2015 against Karlsruher SC.
Furthermore, i have did not meet SC Freiburg fans, which are friendly against the HSV.

The match was in April 2018.
Now seriously: Why should i do want Freiburg win the Europa League?
If Mainz 05 are into the final of the Europa League, i would want, that the Rheinhessen club win the title. Or Arminia Bielefeld (last year into the final of DFB-Pokal).
You can suport who you want to, but bearing a grudge about some slight incident eight years ago seems a bit petty.
I don’t have any bias against Freiburg. It’s a nice town and the football team are underdogs who’ve never had a history of winning trophies. It’d be nice for their loyal supporters, but I don’t really care either way.
We have a lot bigger problems.
Surprisingly common amongst football fans. In fact, it seems to be the only thing that keeps Everton going.
Our rivalry with Everton goes back to the very foundation of the club. The grounds were a stone’s throw from each other and both clubs have had success over 130+ years.
Hamburg and Freiburg are at opposite ends of the country and have no major historical beef. It’s like Newcastle hating Bournemouth because one of their players shouted at someone in the tunnel eight years ago.
It’s more that Everton just moan about anything.

Not only a incident eight years ago. Too the fans of SCF.
