As soon as I saw Ramsey step up, who had barely played three minutes before that and came on just to take a pen, I knew he’d miss. His body language was completely wrong. I really don’t know why managers tend to outguess themselves these days when it comes to penalties. As it is, a good Rangers side got beaten in a cruel manner. I feel a bit for Gerrard’s former lads and their fantastic support. They were every inch as good as Frankfurt, but well… someone had to win it in the end.
Congrats to Frankfurt! Despite having rarely won something, they are a big club in a big city, with a fantastic support as well. Finally, they enjoy some genuine success, good on them!
