I rate Cherki always. He is a top player. We need to sign him if Gakpo/Diaz leaves hopefully we hijack this deal as Saudi are deffo coming for Diaz.

Spain’s game was stellar during an hour or so, then it was France’s turn to turn it on. Both defences come out as a bit meh, but the attacking game, deary me… on both sides, it was breathtaking.
Spain will of course win this pseudo-competition. Portugal are no match for them.

It’s funny how Deschamps sometimes tried a more offensive XI with like 4 attacking minded players (something he’s often criticized for not doing), only for the balance to suffer.
Of course it’s not only about a starting XI, but the way of playing, etc. A double pivot of Kone and Rabiot against Spain’s midfield wasn’t enough last night. They’re trying to use Olise in a Griezmannesque role in the last few games. Cherki might also be a candidate for that, being a more natural #10.
