Well, we’ll see how it ends up.
The replies! He’s been absolutely twatted.
Mind you, I’m not sure that makes any sense even if you extrapolate it away from teachers towards the general phenomenon of people being paid not to work. I’m pretty sure that’s not how inflation works. People didn’t have more money to drive inflation. They had the same, if not a little less. Lots of people, eg those in the gig economy, lost their whole income.
Now this I would love to see on Send In The Bailiffs
In further news, Robert has ‘apologised’ for everyone misunderstanding his point. What a prick.
Wow. He double-downed!
I should send him my call and message lists from the weeks after lockdown began. Implementing video teaching to teachers who at best can be slightly technically challenged was literally a 24 hour a day job. Had a text from a teacher at 3am trying to get a Maths lesson on line. I called her, she was in tears.
Who is this twat? Never heard of him. Did notice Grkstv was one of the top replies though which is odd (or just a function of going to twitter from here) which is even odder I think?
Grkstv is frequently replying to anyone commenting on economics, and is pretty short with them all.
Peston is a tv news journalist, covers UK politics and economics. His reputation has taken a dive over the last few years.
What’s Grkstv’s twitter handle?
Just look for Grkstv. I cant remember the @ bit, but he has kept that first bit.
Exactly that. Was top response when I clicked the link. I’m not a twitterist though.
Peston has done a brilliant middle aged man apology there. He’s sorry that everyone has misunderstood his point. Genius. Everyone else is the problem. A case study in gaslighting.
Whether you agree with HS2 or not this is an impressive piece of machinery
This would be an important step forward.
Minority Report?
Is that an intentional pun?
