Cant disagree with you there. It’s pretty indefensible but hey ho.
But if he doesn’t follow either football or rugby, then he might genuinely have had no clue who either of them were.
If you stuck me in front of a camera and told me I would be talking to some famous baseball player, you genuinely could pull some random dude of the street and I would have no clue.
Noway a random dude would look more like a sumo wrestler than a baseball player … oh wait thought you said basketball player, you could well be correct.

No chance. Marcus Rashford was all over the news and media with his campaign to stand up against the governments plans to stop free school meals to children outside of “term time” despite being in lockdown. He actually won and somehow Williamson, the person responsible for that policy doesn’t know who he is or he lied about meeting him
I’m just waiting for his apology…
“I’m terribly sorry to have mistaken Maro Itoje for Marcus Rashford but, in my defence, all these foreigners look the same.”
That’s about the standard of this current cabinet.
He’s given a statement which didn’t include a whiff of an apology. A genuine mistake by all accounts
righto.

Maybe he is saying they all look the same?
I think there’s a few people taking that line.
I need to stop for tonight I think.
She’s at it again
I don’t understand why this government is so intent on breaking international law…
I honestly don’t think they know what those laws are.
Nah; it’s more that they believe that the rules don’t apply to them.
Oh come on it’s the fault of the French.
Yeah (conceding sigh because I need 10 characters)
I honestly think that she’s being deliberately positioned as the government’s pantomime villain. She’ll be making a coat out of Dalmatians next.
Very random this, but I would like to help you as I too, don’t have a twitter account and indeed, I don’t really want one right now. Leeches like us needs our tricks. Twitter has over the last two years enacted more and more stuff that makes reading (and traversing through it) harder for us non-account readers. However, a trick you can use, which I found myself after much irritation now after their latest patch, is to click on the post (click on this) :
Now, I want you to ignore the big screen you get as a pop up that makes it impossible to navigate and read (because if you click on it. Just simply press enter and thus load your new destination. Try it. Because now you can click the box away without the thread disappearing.
But yes, they are desperately trying to make non-account reading incredibly hard, the bastards.
Because they’re a bunch of entitled pricks who have had every privilege in life handed to them and have every step of the way they’ve been told they are better than everyone else and can do as they please.
The private education system has a lot to answer for as it nurtures these kind of immoral narcissists who think coming from money makes them a better person.
Possibly, but that suggests they know what they are doing.
That still doesn’t explain Williamson, Boris, Raab, etc.
I just think they are all doing whatever they want and Boris is like the nodding bulldog you see on parcel shelves of cars. Everyone going on holiday days before Kabul fell suggests to me that they are all left to carry on.
I would however agree that they are all massively open to lobbying and readily accept and push that stuff forward. It wouldn’t surprise me that the recent NI hike is not a Boris idea at all, rather one that has come from somewhere else.
Surprised we aren’t discussing that a little more on here actually.
