And Gove won’t.
He’s not that fucking stupid.
I think he likes to watch rather than participate.
There’s one at every gangbang.
Don’t think that is an issue for him as he scored very few votes when he did stand earlier this year and the threshold required now will be particularly high to allow it to be done in a week.
Not standing also probably increases the odds of him remaining chancellor under the new leader.
No, they don’t have a majority.
Times reporting Boris is in!!!
Was expected - one of the reasons Braverman was being so feisty since becomeing Home Office Secretary and so eager to leave yesterday.
Fucking hell…shit is about to get CRAY-ZEE!!!
This is becoming absolutely fucking surreal now.
Mordaunt and Wallace will not fair well
Why did he spell “Boris” like that…“national”??
I think the only option now is a unity candidate, this is the last throw of the dice, I just dont see them taking too many risks, its damage limitation now;
The hard right fringe of the party will want to have a say though which will probably cause more issues.
Hopefully off a pier.
John Curtis reckons it will be Penny v Rishi.
It has gone to a leadership contest because there is no unity candidate.
Wallace has little experience to offer and Mordaunt equally has little to show for her time in cabinet, they are not going to be trusted after Truss’s performance. Sunak will most likely be the favourite - a) because he was runner up (but clearly ahead amongst MPs and b) because his comments about Truss’s economic stance proved to be correct.
Sounds quite likely. I expect Rishi to get it though.
Penny will get it, Hunt already is at odds with the former Chancellor, I expect the game plan going forward is to present a candidate who will not rock the boat; Boris wont even make the cut
Hunt backed Rishi in the leadership contest and probably got the post of chancellor because of that. His announcements since becoming Chancellor are in line with the announcements made by Rishi himself, so how is he at odds with him?
