UK Politics Thread (Part 2)

Pidcock is the one who said “they know what they do” about Corbyn’s anti-Semitism, right?

But from a purely Tory perspective, isn’t Johnson the strongest leader? If most of them wanted Brexit, wasn’t he the force that got it done for them? They’re in survival mode now. He’s the only star they have, even if he is a tarnished one.

A phrase I’m having a lot of trouble with atm is “we have to come together”. To me it’s like a bamboozling enchantment that plays on the fears of the public and hypnotises them into a blue minded zombie - one that instantly forgets the recent, medium and long past.

I’m waiting on the “It is in the national interest don’t you know!, we have to come together as a country and effect change”. All the time defecting from the fact that the Conservative have been the problem, have caused the problems and so have to be moved out of office.

Have to confess I find this situation fascinating and a very welcome distraction from horrible, tedious, mind-numbing U.S. politics. Thank you, Britain!

You’re welcome to move here and experience it first hand if you like.

Sorry, ignore that, you’d be an immigrant and we can’t have those by all accounts.

As we know, truth is stranger than fiction. You absolutely couldn’t make this shit up. Going to put £100 on BJ being the next PM. Given how insane the last few weeks have been, it will be the icing on the cake.

AND HE’S JUST BEEN ON FUCKING HOLIDAY MID TERM………

Could be an ominously safe bet that one.

However, if he changes the wallpaper again I’ll properly lose it.

Well, I think the best Prime Minister you’ve had in the last 20 years was actually Hugh Grant tbh.

Definitely a hindrance to a successful political career.

I thought it was a conscience that would be a hindrance in politics?
