Alright, so their supporters are going there, even on public radio. The son of an immigrant can never become British because of inferior foreign blood.
Pretty sure Boris has some Turkish Muslim infested blood tbh. They may want to leech him and fill up with good old, eh Germani…or Celt blood ? Confused as to what is the true British blood.
May want to go futher back and fill him up with some Iranian (aryan) blood, or better, Indo-European, but wait; Sunak…
How is 100 less than 100?
Because it’s Boris and 100 is very “fluent” and subject to revision as we go along.
FIFY in the interests of fluency
Yes but didn’t contribute to the country he was born in until 2015, when parlementary scrutiny forced it on him.
What’s Johnson’s record/excuse?
I’m pretty sure they went there during the previous campaign too. Particularly both times were calling in to non-white radio presenters too…
In many ways, I’d prefer it if Sunak didn’t enter the race but the ego of a politician is no small thing (even if Sunak is)… so he will - the reasoning being that Boris will be a grander show and worse for his party, worse for country as a whole and probably lead to a GE in the next 3-6 months… Sunak will likely be better for the country but the Tory party is so hell bent on eating itself alive that there will still be a show of sorts, until eventually a GE is called - in 6-12 months time.
Pity. His bid to lead Guatemala out of Central America has been cut short.
You wait until you see how the outcome is decided when we get to the final 2
In the campaign after May left I was reading stuff from supposed insiders commenting that support for him among the party members was actually really limited, but a willingness to stand up against him was even smaller. Every credible candidate seemingly was conscious of the never wrestle with a pig idiom and was seemingly waiting for someone else to take Boris down before stepping up themselves and in the end let him have it more or less unopposed but without real support.
This time around it seems different. It seems it less a case of not wanting to be taken down in the process of opposing him, and more a case of there now being legitimate support. The only thing I can put it down is what Walker was addressing in that interview that went viral - talentless people seeing Boris as their opportunity to rise to positions they know they dont warrant.
I think this is an important point. I also think Johnson’s lack of care about process or fairness and ability to bring in money gives him a value that others lack.
Seems to be a bit of a flood for Sunak right now.
Yes, he seems to be getting some of the bigger names who no doubt will bring others with them.
Some, like Cusmans, saw that as a positive thing. The former trapeze artist said Johnson helped her when she was facing eviction a few years ago and believed he had done a good job, for both Uxbridge and the UK. “They should give him the chance of coming back. The people elected him, so let him stay,” she said. She believed Rishi Sunak, the bookies’ favourite to succeed Liz Truss, “stabbed Boris in the back. So how can we trust him?”
I’m convinced they just stand outside A&Es waiting for people who have recently been hit in the head.
Trustworthiness and Johnson. Fuck me swinging.
