Has has some competence but i think it is unclear how competent he actually is. He ran a poor leadership bid in the summer when he was favourite to win. He trashed his own economic legacy, he mishandled his debates with Truss and has left himself exposed with some of his actions before and during the campaign.
That may be true but it still doesnt give them the level of power or influence @Noo_Noo implies. How many of the committe do you recognise? What policies have they driven?
Johnson has almost no support amongst the committee yet they had real difficulty shifting him first time round and had to resort to the cap this time round to reduce his chances of returning to lead the party.
Yeah. Corrected my mistake above. But I think it’s fair to say that the Conservatives have, over the last 12 years, been driven by groups such as the ERG, those dark groups that reside on Tufton St, possibly parts of the press and maybe even wider external influences that are really concerning (russian for example)
And I should add that Labour may not be any better with their links and internal factions
Fucking Roland Rat
Fucking speciesists
Yes, and at least 2 years of misery and more suffering and needless deaths until then.
The Conservatives aren’t going to call an early election, no matter who the next leader may be. They’ll cling on and hope that the economy is on an upturn in late 2024.
And then try to buy voters with a tax cut.
Yes, very much agree with this. If gas prices and wider inflationary forces drop earlier than expected then that will probably give them some positive momentum and scope for tax cuts ahead of the election.
‘The Last of the Brexiteers’ ?
On a lighter note…
Until his backers publically confirm i dont think what his campaign says can be trusted.
Fixed it for you.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Him ending up on a number somewhere in the 80s would significantly improve my mood.
Sunak born Southampton, Johnson New York!
