I think it also speaks to how difficult it is to have that rags to riches story, especially in politics. The classist society doesnāt help either.
Not just those for whom English isnāt their first language have trouble with which terms to use. Some of us older folk used terms growing up that are now considered offensive. Iām not talking overtly offensive just terms like ācolouredā or āhalf casteā.Growing up they werenāt considered offensive but have become so in my adulthood. I know now that āperson of colourā and āmixed raceāare the terms to use, unless that changes?
