because of the phone hack, the Russians found out that the Royal Navy was behind of the attack on Nord Stream. But they can’t publish any evidence, because otherwise they would have to admit the hack. Right?

Reported in the Telegraph today that that Sunak is going to be reviewing the Equality Act, to remove legal protections of those transgendered :person_facepalming:

Similar to shipping refugees to Rwanda it’s an act to play to narrow portion of their base. It’s a cynical move to used for political capital and point scoring.

He does not care about ethics, and impact on peoples lives. It’s all about optics, and politics. A dead cat while things turn to shit.

I hear a rumour last night with friends (IT pros) who work with traders in the City
Truss and Kwarteng are part of some kind of syndicate that made a killing from the pound tanking so quickly

I dont think they did it deliberately. They most likely are invested with people like Odey who made money. Kwarteng used to work for Odey, so it’s no surprise of the link. I don’t think itraders needed any special connection to make money here either - and as far as i am aware Odey has a reputation of being a smart currency trader.

Saying that, it is entirely possible they were played by city types either because they believed the changes were the right thing to do, or that it would be exploitable.
